Research Intern

The Technology Policy Institute is a think tank that focuses on the economics of innovation, technological change, and related regulation. We are looking to hire summer interns who will conduct data analysis for research papers on antitrust and the attention economy, as well as helping with other research tasks related to broadband access in America.

Ability to work with large datasets and learn new programming skills is preferred. Experience with Google Cloud or other cloud platforms, SQL, Stata, Python, Flask, JavaScript, React, GraphQL, GIS, and HTML/CSS would be helpful but are not required. This is a good position for someone interested in policy related to economics, broadband infrastructure, AI, encryption, cybersecurity, IP, antitrust, crypto, and content moderation. We are a small team of Ph.D. economists, lawyers, and software engineers.

Qualified applicants should submit a resume, unofficial transcript, a code sample (in any language, Python preferred), and a brief cover letter. Principals only. Recruiters, please do not contact us.
