Educator for Early Intervention

Meeting Street, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing services to children and families in Rhode Island and Massachusetts, is seeking a motivated team player to serve as the Educator for Early Intervention. As the Early Intervention Educator, you will provide home-based and remote services to families from varying cultural, racial, socioeconomic backgrounds and family structures with children ages 0-3 with developmental delays. You will partner collaboratively with the family to provide initial and ongoing assessment of the child’s development and functional skills, review progress towards outcomes, and adjust outcomes as needed. You will collaborate with the family to develop the Individualized Family Service Plan goals for family supports strategies and relevant services to be provided by our multi-disciplinary team of therapists. You will model and coach caregivers to integrate strategies into the family’s daily routines to aid in the child meeting major developmental milestones. You will identify, research and refer families to community resources to support IFSP outcomes, address immediate family needs and support natural learning opportunities. You will ensure that all events and documentation are completed within the program’s required timelines

Requirements
This position requires either a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education or Early Childhood Special Education or must be certified by the Rhode Island Department of Education as an Early Childhood Education teacher, Early Childhood Special Education teacher, All Grades Special Education–Visually Impaired teacher, All Grades Special Education–Deaf and Hard of Hearing teacher, or All Grades Special Education–Severe Intellectual Disability teacher.
