Corporate Advisory & Banking (CAB) Analyst Program

Corporate Advisory & Banking (CAB) is dedicated to building and nurturing relationships with Private Banking clients and prospects by providing corporate finance advice and capital to substantial, privately held businesses. With a focus on building long-term relationships, CAB can approach each situation as an objective advisor without bias for a particular outcome. CAB is comprised of the Corporate Advisory Group (CAG), Corporate Lending and Commodities & Logistics Lending (C&L).

• CAG advises owner-managers and family-owned businesses on mergers and acquisitions, financing transactions and other strategic corporate decisions
• Corporate Lending provides value-added capital to U.S.-based privately held companies with excellent credit profiles; primary credit products include commercial loans and tax-exempt financing/industrial revenue bonds
• C&L provides capital and advice to leading privately held businesses and their owners in the commodities and logistics industries, particularly in the agriculture, metal, and energy markets

The CAB Analyst Program was designed to be an 18-month program during which the analyst pool supports all three CAB teams on a variety of projects. Analysts will assume a hands-on role in a team environment and get broad exposure to the groups listed above as well as external parties such as senior business executives and intermediaries.

Areas of Responsibility:
• Conduct company and industry research
• Build financial models and perform valuation analyses (company operating models, comparable company analysis, precedent transaction analysis, discounted cash flow analysis, leveraged buyout analysis)
• Develop client presentations assessing the client’s business, growth prospects, industry insights, valuation perspectives and strategic alternatives
• Ensure the highest standard of credit administration by providing thorough and timely credit analysis
• Underwrite new and existing credits, working in conjunction with lending officers
• Assist in structuring credit facilities and reviewing documentation
• Provide written credit analysis for periodic presentations at credit meetings with CAB officers, C&L team leaders, senior Private Banking personnel and Partners
• Prepare due diligence and financial models of company results and forecasts
• Prepare internal financial analysis, conduct industry research and write white papers as required
• Interface with business owners, company executives and intermediaries
