Private Equity Analyst Intern

Brightleaf Holdings (“Brightleaf”) is a long-term-focused holding company, which makes new private equity investments and manages its existing portfolio of companies. Brightleaf is led by entrepreneurs with success investing in, operating, and growing private companies.

Description of Analyst Role
The internship will involve a hands-on learning experience with many of the core activities involved in private equity, with a focus on industry research, screening companies, and analysis of potential investments.

Details of Analyst Role
·        Research, identify, and screen attractive industries and companies based on Brightleaf’s investment criteria
·        Collect information on target companies
·        Develop investment theses and an understanding of business models for selected industries
·        Produce emails and letters for acquisition targets
·        Analyze confidential information on potential acquisitions
·        Participation in phone calls with investment bankers and business owners
·        Mentorship from Brightleaf’s Managing Partner and weekly meetings to discuss progress
·        Pay / Sponsorship: Unpaid internship
·        Hours per Week: 40 hours per week

·        Low ego personalities who are comfortable doing both simpler administrative tasks as well as more intellectually sophisticated analysis
·        Applicants should be currently enrolled at a top-tier institution
