Advancement Associate Office of the Senior Vice President for Advancement

Dartmouth invites applications and nominations for the role of Advancement Associate in the Office of the Senior Vice President for Advancement. The Advancement Associate will manage critical office functions, oversee a variety of special projects, and provide administrative support to the Senior Vice President team and Vice President for Presidential Initiatives and Principal Gifts. A critical role on our team, this position requires considerable discretion, judgment, and problem-solving skills in coordinating and responding to confidential communications. You will provide office and project management support, meeting preparation support, travel coordination, and complex calendar management to support fundraising efforts. Coordination of written and oral communications and serving as a liaison with a wide range of senior administrators, alumni, staff, and others will require a high level of professionalism, collaboration skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
 
The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience, with at least five years of administrative experience in an academic or corporate environment. Demonstrated success working with senior leadership and sophisticated clients or donors is crucial. Strong organizational skills, exceptional people skills, and the ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and respond quickly, proactively, and positively to changes will be critical to your success. The Advancement Associate will also demonstrate strong analytical skills, have a critical eye for detail, and a comfort level with technology and complex systems. Your professionalism, collegial manner, resourceful critical thinking skills, flexibility, and reliability will be key factors in your success in this role.
