U220026 - Pulmonology Clinical Educator – Medicine

Position Summary:
The Jacobs School of Medicine (JSMBS) and Biomedical Sciences, University at Buffalo (UB), State University of New York, Department of Medicine, Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine is actively recruiting for clinical educators for full-time positions based at our ambulatory and major affiliated teaching hospitals. Qualified candidates will be appointed at the Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor level.
Overall duties include:
  • Serving as an attending physician for inpatient and ambulatory services, consultation and follow-up of patients, teaching students, training residents and supervision of fellows
  • Contribute to the teaching mission of the department, to include instruction for medical students and residents as well as the ability to supervise fellows
  • Participation in clinical and/or translational research is encouraged

Minimum Qualifications:
  • MD degree required
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Internal Medicine
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine
  • Ability to obtain a medical professional license in the State of NY
  • Ability to obtain a DEA with full prescriptive authority needed for specific practice
