Job Description

The Project Coordinator provides administrative support to the BioTeach program. BioTeach provides training to teachers to implement cutting-edge life sciences lessons, with a focus on high needs and underserved schools. The Project Coordinator also provides administrative support for MassBioEd as a whole.

MassBioEd is currently operating in a hybrid work environment with approximately half time in the office and half-time remote work.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide support for teacher professional development workshops, including managing event registration, documenting participation and coordinating logistics.
  • Manage communications and coordination with teachers and professional volunteers.
  • Work with the team on internal and external communications, including newsletters, press releases, and social media content.
  • Develop surveys and collect and analyze programmatic data and participate in program evaluation and reporting.
  • Manage the BioTeach invoicing processes, track spending, and maintain school records and documentation.
  • Agency wide administrative duties may include interfacing with vendors and office services, ordering supplies, meeting scheduling, and supporting events.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or 4 years relevant work experience.
  • Strong organizational, project management and problem-solving skills with impeccable detail-oriented abilities.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to become familiar with firm-specific programs and software.
  • Highly self-motivated and capable of managing and prioritizing multiple tasks in a fast-paced, mission-focused environment.
  • Interest in science education and/or workforce development evidenced by a sense of energy, ownership, and connection to the work and the communities we serve.
