F220058 - Assistant Professor of Teaching - Industrial & Systems Engineering

Position Summary:
The Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISE) in the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS) at the University at Buffalo (UB) invites candidates to apply for a non-tenure track Lecturer position with an in-house title of Assistant Professor of Teaching with a target start date of Summer or Fall 2022. We are particularly looking for candidates with industry experience and who can operate effectively on campus and online in a diverse community of students and faculty and share our vision of helping all constituents reach their full potential.

The successful candidate will develop and teach in-person and online courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, including but not limited to operations and supply chain management, engineering management, data analytics, leadership and organizational management, systems engineering, and engineering economy. In addition, the successful candidate is expected to advise undergraduate and graduate students, mentor industry capstone projects, participate in student excellence initiatives, promote ABET objectives, engage in diversity enhancement, and support program and curriculum development. Contribution to research is not required but is strongly encouraged. Ideal qualifications include industry experience, prior teaching experience, and a Ph.D. Industrial Engineering, Engineering Management or a related field.

The UB ISE department has a long history of education and scholarship in Industrial and Systems Engineering, offering B.S., M.S., M.E., Ph.D., and combined degrees with concentrations in operations research, human factors, production systems and engineering management.
