Youth Care Worker- Worcester, MA

Want to jump-start your career in the human or social services field and make a difference in the life of children and teens? That is what we do at the Key Program!  The Key Program in Worcester, MA is seeking Youth Care Worker for both their small residential group homes (Residential Caseworkers) with up to nine adolescents; and for their community-based outreach programs (Outreach & Tracking Caseworkers) to work with children/teens & families (in the Greater Worcester area) who are involved with the Department of Children & Families (DCF). 
 
Qualifications and Hourly Wage: 
  • For the Residential Caseworker position ($20.00 per hour) - A Bachelor’s degree is preferred or an Associate’s degree or college coursework with one year of human service experience is required.
  • For the Outreach & Tracking Caseworker position ($20.50 per hour) - A Bachelor's degree is required (i.e., social work, sociology, psychology, education, mental health counseling, criminal justice, human development, etc.). 
  • All candidates must be 21 years of age or older.
  • All candidates must have a valid state driver's license; and a legally registered and insured car for work use.
  • All candidates must have the ability to work a varied and rotating schedule that includes days (8am-4pm), evenings (3pm-11pm), and some weekend shifts.

Responsibilities:
Youth Care Worker (Residential Caseworkers and Outreach & Tracking Caseworkers) work within a trauma informed care approach to develop supportive relationships with children/youth/families; assist them to attain their treatment plan goals; provide care in the areas of health, education, vocation, legal advocacy, and family advocacy; coordinates clinical services; utilizes community resources; participates in community recreational activities with clients; and establishes aftercare plans.
