Administrative Assistant- Worcester, MA

Want to be part of an amazing team? Key is currently seeking an Administrative Assistant for their Central Regional Administrative Office located in Worcester.

Per the MASS HireNow Program, Key will offer a $4,000 hiring bonus for MA residents who are hired to work in a position for 30 or more hours per week. $2,000 will be paid at 3 months of successful employment and $2,000 will be paid at 6 months of successful employment.  For non-MA residents, the Key Program will fund and apply the same $4,000 bonus.    
Qualifications:  
  • Bachelor’s Degree is strongly preferred, Associate’s Degree required.  
  • All candidates must be 21 years of age or older; have a valid state driver's license; and, have a legally registered and insured car for daily work use.
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to form professional relationships with co-workers, agency staff and representatives from community and state organizations. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and fluent use of Microsoft Office 365 computer applications are required. 

Wage & Benefits: Starting wage range: $19.50 - $20.50 per hour with comprehensive benefits to include medical and dental insurance, tuition assistance, paid vacation and holidays; paid sick and personal time; pre-tax child care; training and supervision and much more.

Responsibilities
  • Work cooperatively as part of the administrative, programs and supervisory team to ensure smooth operations of each program location
  • Contact vendors and coordinate repairs for regional buildings and equipment in a timely fashion
  • Purchase and inventory management of regional and program supplies and equipment
  • Conduct and submit timely building safety and program inspections 
  • Maintain up-to-date, well-organized regional record keeping systems 
  • Ensures the collection, computerization, and review of all regional program statistics
  • Ensures all employee expense vouchers and time sheets are completed accurately
  • Process payables and records expenses on a weekly basis
  • Assist Recruiter/Trainer with new employee onboarding 
  • Aware and sensitive to the cultural differences present amongst staff, clients, families, and vendors at Key
  • Answer in coming phone calls and greet visitors
Key Program, Inc. is a private, non-profit human services agency whose mission is to assist at-risk children/adolescents and their families to develop positive life skills and life experiences so they may pursue productive and rewarding lives. Key works in conjunction with the MA DCF, MA DYS, MA DMH, RI DCYF, and the NH DCF and is an agency provider of both community-based outreach services and residential treatment programming.
