Multicultural Child and Family Hope Center (MCFHC) is a non-profit agency in Tacoma, WA providing culturally relevant support services to children and families through daycare, Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program (ECEAP), and Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) contracted services. A positive relationship between teacher and student is an important factor in the social, emotional, and academic development of a child. Our center strives to ensure this balance. MCFHC's service infrastructure has grown tremendously over the past 24 months. Homeless Prevention services are up 600%; Food Distribution is up 840%; Diaper Bank operations are up 350%; and other major programs have been highlighted based on BIPOC community need.
Member Duties : 100% In Person, located in our admin building at 2021 S 19th St in Tacoma, WA 98405 alongside other outreach, admin and high level staff positions. Hours: Full Time, Monday through Friday. Candidate must have a good understanding of Microsoft Office Products, must have a mobile phone and reliable transportation. In this VISTA position, you will have the opportunity to analyze each program to determine the most efficient organizational operations so we can continue to grow. You will be responsible for collecting qualitative and quantitative information, service information, and preparing findings and reports. In addition, you will spend a significant amount of time recruiting volunteers for our myriad of human service programs. This involves responding to volunteer inquiries, collecting information on prospective volunteers, and connecting them with opportunities to volunteer. 20% of Weekly Hours may be spent on service-related professional development.
