Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) Multimodal Planning & Data Division is currently seeking a Transportation Planning Technician 3 to join our team within the Crash Data and Reporting Office in Tumwater, WA to perform skilled technical duties that involve collecting, locating, analyzing, of crash data obtained statewide from Washington State law enforcement officers. This position analyzes data submitted by law enforcement on the Police Traffic Collision Reports (PTCR) and will use their knowledge of multi-agency policies, RCW’s, and methods to provide enhanced crash data for safety, enforcement, planning, education, and engineering programs that support the mission of WSDOT, and its traffic safety partners.
 
This is an in-training position that offers a career path and on-the-job training. This in-training position allows you to progress upward through the Transportation Planning Technician field and achieve the goal class of a Transportation Planning Technician 3.
