About this role:
The Asset Services Analyst reports to the Head of Asset Services and works across all domestic legal entities affiliated with Cantor Fitzgerald. Asset Services is responsible for the identification, notification and execution of Dividends, Principal and Income, Corporate Actions, Prospectus Mailing & Proxy Voting for the firm and its clients. 
In this role, you will develop relationships with our operational teams, traders and clients. You will learn the inputs to and outputs from the complex Asset Servicing processes while building relationships with internal/external clients and growing the business.

The Asset Services Analyst:
  • Managing Asset Services events (P&I, Divs, Corporate Actions) through the complete event lifecycle
  • Aggregating and passing elections/liabilities on voluntary and choice events to custodians and counterparties
  •  Interacting with the firm’s Prime Brokerage clients and their account representatives to provide best-in-class service to these high net worth accounts
  • Providing daily updates to senior management on the status of all open voluntary corporate action events
  •  Ensuring all Asset Servicing events are captured within our platforms for onward dissemination to internal and external clients
  • Resolving all open balances and counterparty claims within established timeframes
  • We are looking for a candidate with a Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics (equivalent or higher). Interest or experience in financial services or brokerage back office operations; someone who enjoys collaborating, problem solving, and understands basic accounting principles is desirable.

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to listen and communicate effectively with others both verbally and written
  • Ability to work under pressure in a client centric environment
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and presentation skills
 
Ideal Candidate will have knowledge of or interest in:
  • Problem solving with an emphasis on financial markets and operations
  • Prime brokerage operations experience
  • Previous knowledge of dividends and/or corporate actions
  • A desire to continually learn
