Athletics Social Media Marketing Intern

This is a volunteer, unpaid internship position.

The intern will work alongside the Assistant Athletic Director for External Relations to assist with marketing initiatives, with an emphasis on social media-related tasks. The intern will create and implement a social media plan for the department that aligns with and promotes the mission, goals, values and educational ideals of Brandeis University, as well as the mission of the Department of Athletics, Physical Education and Recreation.

This position will be responsible for assisting with all aspects of the @BrandeisJudges social media accounts by creating a semester-long content plan to properly update students, athletics alumni, and community members about news and events happening in the Brandeis Department of Athletics. The intern will be responsible for brainstorming, creating and posting content daily, which will include schedule updates, academic and athletic awards, game highlights, interviews with student-athletes, extracurricular activities, department updates, and more. The intern will work directly with coaches and student-athletes at Brandeis to coordinate Instagram takeovers, interviews, photo shoots, and more. This position will also help with other marketing initiative, including assisting with the implementation of a student rewards program, and helping with in-game marketing and promotional activities at Brandeis Athletic events.

Basic video editing, social media skills, and graphic design skills are strongly preferred. Experience with photography and using a DSLR camera is preferred but not required. Flexible schedule with night and weekend work required.
