Job Description

The FX and Interest Rate Derivative Solutions analyst role at TD Securities is an opportunity to join a markets-focused, client-facing team with significant opportunity for growth.

The position will provide an opportunity to gain client coverage and transaction experience along with a strategic advisory focus. The ideal candidate will enjoy a high level of responsibility in a fast paced and dynamic environment. Through supporting senior Derivatives coverage teams, the successful candidate will receive real-time training across interest rate/FX products and strategies that are applicable to a wide variety of corporate clients.

The ideal candidate will be work closely with teams across Debt Capital Markets, Investment and Corporate Banking, FX and Interest Rate Sales & Trading, electronic trading, Corporate Finance/Accounting, and Sustainable Finance in both Europe and North America covering the Large Corporate client base.

Requirements

The Analyst for the Corporate Risk Solutions group provides specialized sales and trading support to the senior coverage team around a broad range of responsibilities that involve:
  • Client service, trade execution and support (phone, electronic, in person)
  • Analysis of key market data, economic indicators financial industry trends and regulatory developments. An ability to leverage this information to provide regular market commentary internally and externally in person, via email & phone calls
  • Proficiency in TD-specific derivative pricing & capital methodology, understand underlying markets, products and models
  • Trade analytics, operational and technical support
  • Idea generation for client marketing materials/pitch books in conjunction DCM/Banking and other partners
  • Day-to-day support alongside longer term, strategic projects and responsibilities
  • Internal partnership across groups including DCM, syndicate, trading, corporate and investment banking, sales and research
  • Coordination with FX/rates partners in Canada, Europe, Asia Pacific and the U.S. to assist in meeting the bank’s objectives, as applicable
  • Strict adherence personally and at a desk level to the firm’s policies and procedures

Qualifications
  • An undergraduate degree (prior course work in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, and Accounting is useful)
  • Prior course work in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, and Accounting is useful
  • Strong knowledge of MS Excel & PowerPoint preferred
  • Applicants should be well-organized, detail oriented, able to establish priorities and work under pressure with tight deadlines
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Analytical proficiency, quantitative skills and strength in problem solving
  • Proactive and highly motivated – able to work independently and in a team environment
