Senior Financial Analyst (Commissions and Sales Analysis focused)
We are seeking a Senior Compensation Analyst within the Finance team to calculate and process sales commissions. As a key business partner this individual will work across the organization and engage with Executive Management, Sales Management, Finance, Accounting, and Data Intelligence to calculate commissions for sales teams and design commission plans. In addition, the individual will monitor ongoing business activity and develop related reporting and analytics. This position is hybrid (3 days/week in the office, 2 days/week remote).
 
Responsibilities:
  • Administer, validate, and analyze monthly commissions for accuracy, completeness, and compliance
  • Prepare and reconcile monthly commission reports
  • Prepare commission accruals and present monthly accruals to Accounting
  • Build compensation models, forecast trends, develop quotas
  • Assist with the design, implementation and communication of all sales incentive plans
  • Respond to sales inquiries from Management and approximately 125 wholesalers across Retail, Retirement, Home Office/Research, Institutional, Consulting, and Private Placement distribution channels regarding credit and compensation
  • Suggest and participate in the implementation of systematic and operational improvements
  • Review ongoing sales activity and develop/share related reporting with the senior team
  • Develop and present reporting to the management team highlighting key drivers of commission results vs. plan
  • Lead internal and external audits pertaining to commissions
  • Become the expert for our incentive calculation software
 
Education / Experience / Skills Required:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
  • Minimum 5 - 7 years previous work experience in Finance, Accounting. Experience with calculating commissions required
  • Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Sophisticated knowledge of Microsoft Excel required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Expertise analyzing and working with large volumes of data with accuracy and speed
  • Willing to prioritize and readily take on new responsibilities as needed to support the growth of the business, Finance and Sales teams
  • Collaborative and team-oriented demeanor
