Volunteer Services Coordinator

Salary Range: $43,775 – $46,350

365 days a year St. Francis House needs volunteers to help serve our guests. We are looking for a Volunteer Services Coordinator to oversee and coordinate our many wonderful volunteers and community partners.

The Volunteer Services Coordinator plays an integral role at St. Francis House by organizing and managing the volunteer service program in support of the delivery of essential services like clothing and meals to people experiencing homelessness. The Volunteer Services Coordinator also helps provide volunteer opportunities that meets the needs of our volunteers while supporting different programs within the agency such as working with our Art Therapy Studio. The Volunteer Services Coordinator works with the Development department, community, businesses throughout Massachusetts, Universities and retirees to recruit volunteers. The Volunteer Coordinator provides tours for business leaders and individuals interested in learning and volunteering with SFH. The Volunteer Services Coordinator maintains a database of volunteers, business and provides ongoing communication, direction, coordination and training for all volunteers and community partners. 

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent with three (3) years of experience in human services, volunteer services, event coordination, non-profit management, or relevant field required. Further education a plus. Internship experience is considered.
  • Experience supervising people or coordinating events preferred.
