Research Associate

Position Summary:
Working as a Research Associate is a fantastic opportunity to apply your skills/knowledge hands-on in a collaborative lab environment. It is a chance to learn new skills and develop new techniques, be active in creative problem solving and troubleshooting, offer individual projects and cross training opportunities, and much more.  We provide our Research Associate’s the opportunity for continuous learning, training, development, and advancements. Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for participating and supporting the development of Bio-Techne’s various reagents and products
  • Set up and conduct experiments that will help further new product development
  • Follow standard operating procedures to manufacture these products and contribute to the ongoing development of new and existing products to help advance Bio-Techne’s evolving portfolio
  • Document results and prepare reports summarizing your data
  • Perform additional duties as assigned


Qualifications


Education and Experience:
  • Requires an Associate degree with 3-5 years of relevant laboratory experience; OR, a Bachelor’s degree in a related science field and up to 3 years of experience.
  • Laboratory experience can be from industry or academic settings and/or can be part of a school research project or similar.
 
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Experience and knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is required
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment where multitasking is required.
  • Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Must work well both independently and in a team environment.
