F220095 - Visiting Faculty - Educational Leadership and Policy

Position Summary:
The Graduate School of Education at the University at Buffalo, SUNY invites applications for a one-year Visiting Faculty position in Higher Education (non-tenure track, one-year limited to begin August 2022), in the Department of Educational Leadership and Policy.
The Department of Educational Leadership and Policy has a long history of research excellence and a strong tradition of teaching and community engagement. UB’s Higher Education program is committed to creating a collegial academic environment that is fundamentally concerned with questions of access, equity, diversity, and inclusion throughout our two degree programs: 1) Ed.M. in Higher Education and Student Affairs (HESA) and 2) a Ph.D. in Higher Education. The successful applicant will have primary duties teaching in the HESA master’s program.
Responsibilities include:
  • Teaching 4 courses per semester at the graduate level in both the master’s and PhD program
  • Assisting with recruitment of master’s students in the HESA program, including coordinating the program’s annual Open House and Assistantship Day
  • Contributing to the intellectual community of the department
  • Providing service to the university and the profession

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Doctorate in higher education, student affairs administration, or a closely related field
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated potential for excellence in the classroom
  • Experience working in student affairs
  • Demonstrated potential for research productivity (e.g. peer-reviewed scholarship, conference presentations, research or policy briefs)
