Overview

A PRN Translational Research Coordinator position is currently available at The Mind Research Network in Albuquerque, NM in the area of translational neuroscience. The Translational Research Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating, managing, and conducting complex pre-clinical (primary responsibility) and clinical (secondary responsibility) research programs in accordance with established study protocols and federal regulations. Job responsibilities will include establishing appropriate data collection methods in accordance with research protocols, collecting and processing a wide range of biological specimens, screening and scheduling eligible participants, and other duties as assigned. The funding for this position has an anticipated duration of three years, with further funding possible. Pay will be commensurate with experience. Start date is expected to be August 2022.
 
This is a PRN position and work will be as needed. This position is not eligible for benefits. 

Qualifications

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and at least 2 years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been attained.

Must have a demonstrated understanding of the principals, methods and procedures of basic medical and/or clinical research as well as the ability to understand and follow basic scientific research protocols and procedures.

As this position involves working as part of an interdisciplinary research team and with sensitive research data, applicants should have strong communication and interpersonal skills. The position will also require flexible hours to complete data collection, including evenings and weekends

Preferred/Additional Qualifications

The ideal candidate should have experience with complex preclinical research procedures and sample collection methods, as well as have a working knowledge of phlebotomy and/or pharmacology as it relates to pre-clinical/clinical research.
