How you’ll make an impact:
SiriusXM is looking for an intern to help plan and execute on-site, off-site and virtual events with talent.
What you’ll do:
- Participate in on-air contests from concept to prize fulfillment.
- Participate in on-site and virtual event (music, sports, talk) promotions.
- Become knowledgeable about SiriusXM to promote the product and content at off-site and virtual events.
- Organize winner's contact information in database.
- Notify winners and handle prize communication.
- Gain a working knowledge of national sweepstakes and contest rules and regulations.
- Plan and execute virtual events, including audience management and communication of virtual event details.
- Learn how to create proposals for promotional partners.
- Write copy for online and on-air promotions.
- Perform other duties as required.
What you’ll need:
- You must be 18 years of age or older.
- Internships are open to current students enrolled at a university (those graduating by May 2023 are preferred) and recent graduates who graduated within the 12-month period prior to the start of the internship.
- Current or previous enrollment in communications or public relations classes preferred.
- Good project management and planning skills.
- Interpersonal skills and ability to interact and work with staff at all levels.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to pay attention to details.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to take initiative and to follow through on projects.
- Familiar with SiriusXM + Pandora programming.
- Must be available in the evenings and occasionally on weekends (as events demand).
- Ability to lift and move equipment.
- Must have legal right to work in the U.S.
- Thorough knowledge of MS-Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
