Early Childhood Elementary Educator

Job Description:
Alberton School District #2 is now accepting applications for a full-time Early Childhood Elementary Educator to teach in our PK classroom. This individual would be responsible for teaching two sections of PK students, a morning session and an afternoon session.

Benefits include excellent health insurance coverage in which the district pays over $10,000 in premiums per full-time teacher, a four-day work week, affordable school meals prepared fresh daily from scratch, a supportive community, small class sizes, and an experienced paraprofessional staff. Alberton is a Class C District, preschool through 12th grade, serving approximately 150 students. Located only 25 miles west of Missoula and next to the grand Clark Fork River, Alberton offers a picturesque landscape full of natural splendor along with convenient access on a newly renovated interstate to the commodities of Montana’s second largest city.

Alberton School District is dedicated to supporting students on their path to becoming well-rounded life-long learners who have a strong sense of self and are thoroughly educated in both academic and social-emotional skills. We strive to build a community of learners based in kindness, curiosity, and critical thinking, with the hope that our students will enter the world prepared and excited to participate as engaged global citizens.

We are looking for an individual whose own goals align with our vision as a district, especially as we continue to forge our own path toward Transformational Learning. We are currently in the early stages of this remodel, a move that emphasizes trauma-informed practices, project-based learning, and competency-based grading, all while maintaining rigorous academic instruction.

Applicants must have a valid Montana Educator License with an Elementary Education endorsement or be able to obtain a provisional license within sixty days of assuming contract duties.
