ROLE SUMMARY

The Sponsorship Team Member and SFCA School Aide combo position is to assist the sponsorship department with administrative needs while supporting the daily operations of the Academy. This role primarily involves data entry and management, sponsorship materials management, interacting with new and existing sponsors, and assisting the administrative and teaching staff with daily tasks such as; lesson and station help, preparing and delivering student snacks, supporting lunchroom operations, and other support work.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
SFCA Support
  • General assistance
  • Create and maintain a safe, welcoming, & positive environment
  • Cleanliness and Custodial
  • Daily room cleanliness checks
  • Implementation of COVID safety precautions
  • Trash collection for classrooms
  • Managing cleanliness standards for all floors
  • Cleaning surfaces, vacuuming, and shampooing carpets
Snack & Lunchroom
  • Preparing snacks for each classroom by the designated times
  • Delivery of snacks
  • Preparing and plating school lunches
  • Lunchroom set-up and monitoring
  • Lunchroom cleanliness and wrap-up
School Support
  • Monitoring and assistance with student behavior issues
  • Walking classrooms to and from the recess area
  • Monitoring students in the recess area
  • Cleaning and care for facilities
  • Assisting teachers with covering classrooms for short breaks
  • Coordinating food boxes for families with Rescue Mission
  • Lunch and snack delivery to classrooms
  • Basic grading and file-keeping
  • Mobilization of missions teams and volunteers
  • Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, and materials
  • Assist in creating an environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to student maturity
  • Track daily student attendance, help review homework, and grade tests
  • Assist in providing small-group instruction to adapt the curriculum to specific needs
  • Help plan daily and long-range lessons, classroom activities, and maintain student records
  • Assist in establishing and maintaining standards of student behavior during lunch/recess settings
  • Alert the teacher immediately to any injuries or special needs of individual students
  • Check student work for compliance with teacher's instructions
  • Collect and display suitable material for bulletin boards and decorate classroom as needed
  • Assist in implementing all classroom policies and reinforce the reward/discipline system
  • Inventory classroom supplies and help generate purchase orders to restock necessary items
  • Help maintain order in the classroom and monitor students to keep them on task
  • Perform office assistant tasks such as photocopying, filing, and phone calls as required
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Agreement with the statement of faith and core values of SF City Impact.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and coordinate events.
  • Must pass a fingerprint and background check.
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university is preferred
  • "First Aid/CPR trained (training provided) instead of "First aid/CPR trained
  • Must be able to lift 20 or more pounds
  • Must be able to travel and have a valid CA ID / passport
