The Record-Review, a weekly community newspaper and online news site in northern Westchester County, NY, seeks an experienced and versatile reporter with exceptional storytelling skills and an engaging writing style to join its award-winning editorial team. This full-time job requires a hardworking individual who can write accurate, hard news stories; has a flair for features; is capable of cultivating sources and generating story ideas; can juggle multiple assignments; turn out a minimum of four bylined stories each week, and meet daily deadlines.

Strong writing and reporting skills are required. Being actively curious, with an interest in community affairs essential. You will also be expected to cover several night meetings a month, some weekend assignments, as well as occasional spot news. Must have a car and live in New York City metro area, preferably Westchester. Can be partly remote. Recent college graduates who have worked on their school’s newspaper are encouraged to apply. Salary range: $30K+.
