Employer Relations & Career Advisor

The Department of Career Services welcomes qualified candidates to apply for the open position of Employer Relations and Career Advisor in the division of Student Affairs.
The Employer Relations and Career Advisor serves as the point of contact for employers and is responsible for developing and maintaining effective relationships with local, regional, and national employers to maximize recruitment at Oregon Tech. The Advisor will plan and implement on-campus and virtual recruitment events for all Oregon Tech campuses. The Advisor will provide holistic, inclusive, and equitable career advising to students and will collaborate with faculty and programs to ensure the needs of the campus community are met with robust internship and employment opportunities.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in higher education, business, or related field.
  • Experience working with and/or advising students in a higher educational environment
  • Knowledge and experience with marketing and or sales, including social media marketing
  • Experience with Handshake, CRM, or another career services platform

Additional Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in higher education, business, or related field and two years of experience in career services, recruiting, sales, and/or marketing. (Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.)
  • Exceptional student service and customer service orientations
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and professional writing skills
  • Strong data management, software, and communication skills, including use of Outlook, Teams, Zoom, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Canva, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn
  • Ability to travel between Oregon Tech campuses at least quarterly for events and employer relations
