PR Project 1:
  • Part 1: Although our organization is doing many great things, we are still struggling in one area. That is Public Relations (PR). We want more people to know what and who I'RAISE is, so that more families and children could find out about our free programs and services and its benefits, so that we could have partner schools, universities, and colleges who could support us, funders and donors who could help us with our cause and our mission of supporting vulnerable families. We need your expertise. This will be an experiential learning for you because you could utilize your PR and Advertising knowledge and experience that you have gained while studying and use it at I'RAISE to help us reach our target audience. You can help us by creating, planning, and implementing thoughtful marketing initiatives to promote I'RAISE's efforts and impacts we have made in families's lives through our resources, programs and services.
  • Part 2: I'RAISE is doing an Unapologetically Black 2023 event in honor of black history month. Goal is to have wellness coaches who are college students, and peer advocates who are high school students that play a role of volunteer as well as participants in our event. We want to bring awareness about this event because our goal through this event is to give voice to the black youth to freely speak their mind and thoughts and feelings, to speak about their mental health concerns, the trauma they have faced for being black. It is a moment of empowerment. We are looking for a PR intern who could help us with this project.

PR Project 2: Our CEO & Founder of I'RAISE Shanequa Moore is looking to have a PR intern. On October, 2022 Ms. Moore was featured on Spectrum News NY1 where she was able to speak up about the mental health crisis that our youth are facing and how we could tackle it. I'RAISE has an Integrative Mental Wellness Model that is easy to integrate to schools system and makes lives easier for our parents, children, school staff including counselor, clinicians and social workers. Ms. Moore being featured on the news and being able to speak about the model as well as the mental health crisis was an empowering moment for many school workers and families, and empowerment is what I'RAISE is all about and what Ms. Moore does. She would like to work together in a PR intern who could help her in the PR area.
