City Kids Program Assistant

ORGANIZATIONAL OVERVIEW
SF City Impact is a religious non-profit organization that exists to intervene on behalf of the people in the inner city of San Francisco by fostering a community of united staff to intervene on behalf of the community we serve through resources, education, relationship and meals. ROLE SUMMARY
SFCI is seeking qualified mission minded individuals who can assist the City Kids Director in the SFCA School & City Kids program. This person will be Full Time, to help lead the functions that involve the spiritual growth, education, and social well-being of youth and children in the Tenderloin.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Complete tasks for SFCA Chapel
Complete tasks for City Kids Afterschool Program
Facilitate tutoring and homework help at Afterschool program
Manage a classroom of kids
Participate and lead kids educational activities or functions
Assist with SFCA & City Kids Sponsorship Program.
Active in Building, fostering, and training a team of supporting leaders and volunteers:
Tutors
Mentors
Chapel Speakers
Youth Leaders
Leading missions team members
Establish best practices:
Code of conduct / Classroom expectations
Emergency protocol
Culture shaping
Accountability & management
Dress code
Training program set in place for future leaders
Team building events and meals
Behavior Modeling
Planning and scheduling Weekly youth activities:
Coordinating and communicating with volunteers, mentors, and tutors to help them stay involved.
Ensuring there are weekly enrichment plans for each kid’s program
Assisting with reports and tracking growth
Responsibilities to Support & Plan for the following City Kids Program functions:
Chapel Services
Ensure there are leaders in place with weekly reminders
 Super Saturday Children’s Ministry (for 2-12year olds):
May be required to work on select Saturdays to run the Children’s program, but will not be regularly scheduled unless asked. 
Providing gospel centered programming: Worship, Message and engaging activity when needed.
Assist in providing meals for the kids
Friday Night Youth:
Assist in providing meals for the kids
Support the planning process and activity/lesson planning process
Volunteer coordination
Weekly Team schedules
Monthly Outings
Maintain Team Meetings & Calendar planning
Maintain Meeting notes
City Kids Mentorship & Afterschool program:
Reporting all metrics
Producing, evaluating, and maintaining written material (Handbooks, emergency protocols, vision articulation, etc)
Coordinating volunteer Mentors
Planning the Curriculum and daily schedules/activities
Planning the calendar of events and activities for parents and students
Creating permission slips and PA forms.
Working with SFCA to streamline afterschool activities
Streamlining immediate action needs to our team
Assistance in planning retreats & trips:
 5-10 Annual retreats - Driving or cooking:
Ft. Bragg
Winter camp
Summer camp
Worship conferences
Assisting with Spiritual Curriculum:
Sermon plans
Bible study resources
Mentorship resources
City Kids Design Lab:
Scheduling families for the Design Lab
Assisting families with shopping and the checkout inventory process
Ancillary Tasks
Coordinating volunteers
Cleaning and organizing space: 302 Eddy & 220 Turk
Engaging and managing Children’s programing
Assist with projects and families at the Design Lab
Engaging and managing Children’s events
After school program Tutoring
Afterschool program planning: activities, outings, themes for the month, etc.
May be asked to sit with students who need to be separated.
Assist in ensuring that programs have meals or snacks prepared and served
Assist with Daily attendance
Assist with family food boxes
 Assist with scheduling families for birthday boxes and home visits
Assist in texting families for events and program activities

QUALIFICATIONS
Agreement with the statement of faith and core values of SF City Impact.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work with children and youth
Ability to multitask and coordinate events.
Ability to take initiative and ownership of responsibilities.
Excellent Execution skills
Must pass a fingerprint and background check.

SCHEDULE
Monday - Friday 9:00AM - 5:00PM
*May be requested to work additional hours on Saturdays or Friday nights
