Overview
Lovelace Biomedical Research Institute (LBRI) is seeking a highly motivated individual to serve as a Senior Research Technologist with a background in Bioanalytical Chemistry. The position will support bioanalytical method development, method validation and application of bioanalytical assays to sample analysis within the Scientific Core Laboratories.
The job will involve working in multi-disciplinary scientific teams to develop/characterize bioanalytical methods and conduct bioanalytical sample analysis. Working in the laboratory to process and analyze samples using Ultra-Performance Liquid Chromatography (UPLC) and High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) couple with triple quad mass spectrometry.
Qualifications
Requires Bachelor’s degree in a scientific area and 4 years of directly related experience in the area of quantitative analysis, assay development or validation; or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been attained.
Candidate must have a demonstrated understanding of research methodology in quantitative analysis of small molecules from biological matrices (e.g., plasma, serum, tissue, urine, etc.). Requires strong written and verbal communication skills, the ability to work independently and as a part of a team. Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office, as well as the ability to learn department-specific computer systems as needed.
This position may involve work inside the ABSL3 facility which may require vaccinations / immunizations. Candidates must be able to lift up to 20 pounds and wear a respirator. A Post-offer physical and background check are required. Ability to gain and maintain access to the Kirtland Air Force base (KAFB) is required.
Relocation may be offered for this position.
Preferred/Additional Qualifications
Preference will be given to candidates who have experience working in a GLP environment. Preference will also be given to candidates who have experience working Scitex triple quad instrumentation and Analyst software.

Salary
Salary is commensurate with experience + $500 sign-on bonus.
