We Need Online Math Tutors.
We seek stellar students, alumni, mentors, & teachers with experience tutoring &/or teaching K-12 math subjects including Algebra 1 & 2, geometry, trigonometry, pre-calculus, calculus, AP math, & any other math subject to tutor our students.
We partner with businesses, organizations, & schools to provide educational support to their students so that those who may otherwise not have access to tutoring can get the help they need & working parents can maintain a work-life balance & rest assured knowing that their students are receiving supplemental resources while learning losses are at an all-time high.
We need your help in providing exceptional online tutoring & academic mentoring to these students.
MPP tutors are encouraged to not only provide homework assistance & test preparation, but to act as academic mentors. We support many underserved students, & research shows that they highly benefit from having academic mentorship incorporated into their tutoring experience.
An MPP academic mentor provides educational guidance & support to students through 1-on-1, individualized, online tutoring sessions. MPP academic mentors help students gain competency in areas such as building confidence, studying, cultivating time-management skills, & critical thinking.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Providing a safe & welcoming learning environment,
- Demonstrating problem-solving techniques rather than immediately providing the answer,
- Being responsive if the student communicates to the tutor outside of their tutoring session with questions, confusion, or concerns,
- Staying engaged & present during tutoring sessions, & adjust teaching style to the student's specific learning style,
- Being patient & understanding,
- Raising academic confidence,
- Building a caring & trusting connection with students, &
- Teaching positive study habits & learning behaviors.

This is tutoring with a socially responsible twist: you get paid for your time, & we use some of the proceeds from each tutoring hour to support educational opportunities for underserved students in our community. It's a win-win!
By dedicating a portion of the net proceeds from each hour to support resources for deserving students, we can continue pursuing our mission of helping all students achieve & succeed while continuing to provide the highest caliber of tutoring to our clients.
