Who We Are:
United Cerebral Palsy of Rhode Island is a non-profit organization that educates, advocates, and provides support services to ensure a life without limits for people with cerebral palsy and other disabilities throughout all of Rhode Island.
What We Need:
We are looking to fill our Direct Support Professional role in the Rhode Island community. In this position, you will be responsible for assisting individuals we support with various tasks such as daily living activities (personal care/hygiene, housekeeping, cooking…), participation in community outings (shopping trips, social activities…), and community relationship-building. This role is great experience for Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, and Nursing students!
To be considered for this role, we’re looking for someone with:
-A high school diploma or equivalent (must be at least 18 years of age)
-A valid driver’s license, their own vehicle, and insurance under their name
-The ability to pass a Rhode Island criminal background check
-A warm, empathetic, and dependable personality!
This position will be based in the Greater Providence area of Rhode Island and may include working/traveling to Providence, Cranston, Warwick, Johnston, Lincoln, Cumberland, Pawtucket, and Smithfield.
