Youth Counselor - Wraparound

$2,000 sign-on bonus for new Seneca employees in this position!

As a Youth Counselor, you will provide culturally sensitive, strength-based, and family-centered services and planning for youth who are referred for Wraparound through social services, probation, or post-adoption services. While collaborating with county and community partners, you will provide the youth and family with crisis intervention, mental health counseling, and skill-building support that is aligned with Wraparound principles and rooted in Seneca’s mission and values related to diversity, equity, and inclusion. As a Youth Counselor, you will work with a team comprised of Facilitators, Permanency Specialists and Family Partners. All services are provided almost exclusively in the community, including the families’ homes, foster homes, schools, and congregate care settings.

“I’ve had the privilege to work directly with youth and families from my community whose resilience and inner strength motivates me to go above and beyond. I get to hang out with kids, hear their stories, and work to break the chain of trauma with a strength-based approach. The functions of my job can be difficult at times; however, our core value of unconditional care truly shines through every level of this work, making those challenges minor in the grand scheme of things.”
