This may be the position for you! The National Organization of Sisters of Color Ending Sexual Assault (SCESA) is looking for a dynamic individual to join their hardworking team as a Project Coordinator.  
 
The National Organization of Sisters of Color Ending Sexual Assault (SCESA) is an advocacy organization of Women of Color dedicated to working with our communities to create a just society in which all Women of Color are able to live healthy lives free of violence. SCESA’s core work focuses on ensuring support for Communities of Color organizations working to end sexual assault across the nation as well as influencing and shaping national public policy to ensure the inclusion of the experiences and realities of Women and Girls of Color. 

The Project Coordinator will work within a team environment to move forward SCESA’s goal of enhancing the capacity of local Communities of Color organizations to address and respond to sexual assault and other forms of gender based violence.
 
Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
à Plan, develop, implement trainings through webinars, national meetings, conferences, etc.;
à Implement outreach and engagement strategies to identify Communities of Color organizations across the country addressing sexual assault;
à Provide training and respond to technical assistance/support requests through telephone or email consultation, development and/or review of materials, and on-site visits; 
à Provide information and training to support the infrastructure, development and capacity building efforts directed towards local Communities of Color organizations;
à Assist with the coordination of monitoring and evaluation for organizations receiving funding through micro-grants and other initiatives;
à Provide project related support to ensure completion of grant deliverables, goals and objectives of projects;
à Draft project related reports and documentation;
à Assist with the identification and tracking of logistical venues and potential meeting locations;
à Work collectively and collaboratively with other staff team members on program planning and implementation of project related and other organizational activities;
à Build collaborative relationships and alliances with other national and international organizations that address Communities of Color and are relevant to SCESA’s mission, and;
à Other duties as assigned that support the facilitation of effective organizational goals, objectives and operations.
 
 
We are looking for a candidate that has:
·      Work or volunteer experience in planning and organizing events, trainings, or meetings;
·      Lived expertise, commitment and passion for working on issues that impact Women of Color;
·      Commitment to ending violence against women and specifically sexual assault;
·      Self-motivated, willing to take initiative and the ability to function effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team environment;
·      Strong outreach and presentation skills;
·      Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects and competing deadlines; 
·      Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with a diverse group of Women of Color both as staff and participants in organizational activities;
·      Flexible and able to adapt and effectively handle changes and shifting priorities;
·      Detail-oriented, excellent time management, planning, and organizational skills;
·      Excellent written and verbal communication skills; and
·      Knowledge and ability to work effectively with social media and Microsoft Office applications; and
·      Ability to travel across the country as required.
 
 
This is a full-time salaried position. The applicant must reside in CT, MA, NH, RI, or ME. Salary is commensurate with experience, and includes a generous benefits package.
