Intermediate Business Systems Analyst
Federated Hermes is looking for an Intermediate Business Systems Analyst to solve business problems by performing business analysis, preparing requirements specifications, and testing for relevant business process modifications, applications, and/or reporting enhancements. This position is located in our downtown Pittsburgh, PA office and offers a hybrid (remote/office) work schedule.
What You Can Expect:
- Working collaboratively with the business unit (Investment Management Operations) to define business requirements and provide consultative support as needed regarding applications and business work flows
- Evaluating business needs, in collaboration with the team, and recommending potential solutions, including integration and interfacing with existing systems or third-party vendors
- Working with technical and development staff to conduct unit, system, and user acceptance testing. This includes developing and publishing test specifications, preparing test data, and creating user acceptance testing documents
- Determining and preparing estimates for completion of assigned tasks
- Preparing business and functional requirements documents and all other required documentation as outlined in Federated's Software Development Lifecycle Process
- Providing hands-on support and training, as needed, to business users
What We Are Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience required
- 3 or more years of business or systems analysis experience required
- Experience working with MS Windows based applications required
- Experience modifying or writing Structured Query Language (SQL) preferred
- Experience on team-oriented systems projects preferred
- Experience in financial services or securities industry with knowledge of investment products preferred
