The CMS Innovation Center, also known as “CMMI,” develops and tests new health care payment and service delivery models to bring about a health system that achieves equitable outcomes through high quality, affordable, person-centered care. Five strategic objectives guide the CMS Innovation Center’s pursuit of this vision:

·      Driving accountable care;

·      Advancing health equity;

·      Supporting innovation;

·      Addressing affordability; and

·      Creating partnerships to achieve system transformation.

 

CMMI is currently seeking candidates with backgrounds in health policy, economics, or research. Selected individuals will spend 2-4 years working in a full-time, remote, paid position developing and testing innovative models that aim to reduce program expenditures while preserving or enhancing the quality of care provided to beneficiaries.

Annual Salary: $56,983 - $105,579 per year depending on your previous experience and where you live. Pay and locality rates can be found here. Appointments are made in 1-year increments. This recruitment will be used to fill CMMI’s critical needs over the next year, so multiple selections could be made over the course of several months.
