Intermediate FP&A Analyst

Work Location: Chicagoland Area - Hybrid Work Schedule

We are looking for a results-driven Intermediate FP&A Analyst to join the Follett team.
Contributes to the development of complex financial Profit and Loss (P&L) Statement modeling under strict deadlines, using advanced financial analysis and strategic business acumen. This individual will partner with the Manager of Business Development &Financial Planning, as well as operational teams, to drive results on critical initiatives, ongoing projects, and new opportunities.
Responsibilities
  • Performs financial modeling to support existing and new business initiatives and opportunities that result in optimal decision-making and improved overall performance.
  • Performs data mining and other forms of research to understand Follett's competitive marketplace resulting in accurate pricing and financial modeling of existing and new accounts.
  • Supports forecasting of existing business units while providing insights into key business drivers and identifying risks and opportunities.
  • Prepares weekly and monthly business analysis and reporting that supports the business development team with ongoing enhancements.
  • Responsible for internal and external account benchmarking.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting or equivalent.
  • Certifications preferred: CA, CPA, CGMA, CFA.
  • 1-3 years of experience in financial modeling and financial forecasting required.
  • Advanced technical proficiency with MS Office specifically MS Excel, Salesforce experience, and General Ledger/Hyperion.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks to closure concurrently.
  • Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized and attentive to detail.
  • Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to think creatively -- highly driven and self-motivated.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Big 4 accounting experience is a plus.
  • Financial systems expertise.
