We are currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer for our Mechanical Engineering Practice in Seattle, WA. In this role, you will work as part of a team, consulting on a wide variety of mechanical engineering issues. Project applications may span industrial processes, utilities, consumer products, electronics, medical devices, transportation, energy, aerospace, manufacturing, marine, construction, defense, food and beverage, healthcare, and more.

You will be responsible for:

You will have the following skills and qualifications: 
  • Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with focused thesis/coursework/project experience in dynamic systems and control, solid mechanics, structural mechanics, stress analysis, thermal/fluid analysis, materials or other comparable subjects utilizing both experimental and computational methods
  • Numerical modeling and simulation, and data analysis programming
  • Medical device development
  • Propensity for failure investigation and analysis
  • Demonstrated ability to use tools and test instruments, and construct experiments
  • Physical ability to perform inspections at locations such as industrial and construction sites
  • Evidence of novel contributions and initiative
  • Strong foundation in mechanical engineering and ability to apply mechanical engineering concepts to real-life applications
  • A background exhibiting hard work, tenacity, creativity, communication and teamwork
  • A good sense of business and legal issues
  • Strong foundation in verbal and written communication
