Capital Partnering at General Atlantic

General Atlantic has a unique capital program within the PE industry, with ongoing fundraising processes, comprised of adding new investors while maintaining relationships with current capital partners. As such, General Atlantic has an established Capital Partnering team to ensure the Firm upholds its strong reputation for proactive outreach, informative investor meetings, effective presentation materials, and openness and integrity. The global Capital Partnering team works to service its investors, facilitate the flow of information, and build new relationships.


Capital Partnering Analyst Program

The Capital Partnering Analyst Program is a 2-year program that will train and develop analysts by providing exposure to global investment strategies. Analysts will join the Capital Partnering team based in New York and will work closely with Capital Partnering professionals in Hong Kong, London, and Palo Alto. Analysts will frequently work with other professionals across the Firm, including the investment team, legal, finance and accounting and marketing. They will support investor relations and fundraising processes. Typical responsibilities will include:
·      Preparation of marketing materials, due diligence requests and portfolio update
·      Preparatory work ahead of fundraising diligence meetings and on-going marketing meetings
·      Research and identify new investors based on compatibility with existing capital base
·      Support relationships with existing investors across all aspects of client service, including portfolio and performance updates and miscellaneous investor requests
·      Assist in developing and managing investor events and conferences

Qualifications

Students graduating in December 2022 or Spring 2023 are invited to apply if they:
·      Are currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate institution;
·      Have a proven track record of achievement in academic and other settings;
·      Demonstrate an interest in Finance and Private Equity;
·      Possess strong interpersonal skills;
·      Have strong quantitative and analytical skills, adept with financial data and ability to summarize into digestible facts;
·      Strong project management and organizational skills;
·      Have excellent written and oral communication skills, and ability to craft narratives in presentation format;
·      Are detail oriented;
·      Exhibit a high level of professional maturity and a solid work ethic; and
·      Are able to fit into a small team and highly demanding work environment.
 
Successful Analysts will receive first consideration for a permanent role on the Capital Partnering team.
