2023 Summer Analyst

SEA is a boutique Investment Bank focused on mergers and acquisitions within the middle market. On behalf of our clients, SEA helps identify potential acquirers and leads the auction sale process. Our work includes in depth interactions with entrepreneurs across a broad spectrum of industries.

RESPONSIBILITIES: You will work directly with the firm’s Associate and Managing Directors, gaining hands-on experience in the exciting field of Investment Banking. You will have varied responsibilities, including compiling research analyses for prospects, building potential acquirer lists and preparing pitch decks for prospects. You will work with industry-standard software and analytics tools, including transaction databases, valuation tools, pipeline tracking software, etc.

This internship is entry level. However, it will be important that the Analyst is considering a future career in financial services, given the competitive and fast-paced nature of our work. Our Managing Directors will provide mentorship throughout the program and will give you their attention and time—you will need to bring your passion and energy to the role.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS: This is a position for top undergraduates interested in the field of Investment Banking. Candidates should have an aspiration to work with lower middle market Entrepreneurs. Communication & writing, the ability to perform research, analyze and articulate findings are essential skills. As such, the successful candidate must have a track record of academic success, be a team player, and enjoy working in a team environment. The Analyst must have strong organizational skills and the ability to proactively multitask, balancing competing priorities in a dynamic environment. He or she must pay close attention to detail, display excellent interpersonal skills, and possess time management skills. Candidates should have knowledge of accounting principles and understand financial statements.

By the conclusion, you will understand the full M&A process following an institutional approach. This is a hands-on internship, and your work will add significant value to the firm.
