Regional Disaster Preparedness Organization Managing Director (Manager I)

About the position: 
The RDPO is a partnership of government agencies, non-governmental organizations, and private-sector stakeholders collaborating to increase disaster resilience in the Portland Metro Region (Clackamas, Columbia, Multnomah, and Washington counties in Oregon and Clark County in Washington).
 
The RDPO Managing Director serves an important role in building partnerships, programs, processes, and policies that advance regional disaster preparedness. They provide organizational leadership, policy coordination, and staff management. They work to advance collaborative partnerships between a diverse group of member organizations and multi-disciplinary stakeholder groups.
 
The RDPO Managing Director is classified as a Manager I in the City of Portland. RDPO staff are embedded within the Portland Bureau of Emergency Management (PBEM). The RDPO Managing Director reports to the PBEM Bureau Director and is accountable to the RDPO Steering Committee, which consists of executive-level regional leadership.
