Senior Advertising Associate

Hachette Book Group is hiring a Senior Advertising Associate to join our growing in-house agency team. This role will report to the VP of Advertising and work collaboratively across Hachette publishing divisions.

In 2021, Hachette established a team that maneuvers between media strategy, creative development, and ad ops - and also liaises frequently with organic content marketers to advise their work across the company. Each member of the team takes primary client responsibility over a portfolio of our publishing imprints, planning campaigns to launch and promote books in every genre (covering titles by their imprints’ authors, primarily) collaborating with the group to manage projects, and advancing strategic learning across the company.

As we add to the team, we are looking for a marketing generalist to learn and grow with us. Our ideal candidate has some experience buying paid media in at least one direct or self-service channel, a real interest in publishing, cultural products or advertising. They also have a facility with and points of view on the development of creative. They know how to spot trends.

Finally, meticulous attention to detail will be required as this person must oversee campaign work, billing and correspondence with multiple teams - along with an analytical mind, and the motivated curiosity to learn and evolve with the changing advertising landscape.
