Science Educator II
 
$20.48 per hour
Salary offers are determined in conjunction with an internal pay equity assessment.
Special Project, Part-Time; scheduled to work 24 hours per week

The Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI) mission is to inspire curiosity through engaging science learning experiences, foster experimentation and the exchange of ideas, and stimulate informed action. Join our team as a Science Educator II and be a part of igniting an education transformation at the intersection of science and technology that spreads opportunities across the Northwest!
 
The Science Educator II engages guests in meaningful, relevant, and thought-provoking activities, demonstrations, and conversations—with an emphasis on visitor driven-inquiry—as the guests explore the museum. They also present classes and other programs related to specific content series and topics booked through OMSI’s Program Sales team with an emphasis on programming for the Oregon Homeschool Science Club. They also provide supervision and support to volunteer staff, and they are responsible for understanding and following safety protocols and emergency procedures. This is a special project position expecting to run until December 31, 2022.
