MYRIAD PICTURES – Development Internship, Fall 2022

Myriad Pictures, an independent film sales and production company in Brentwood, California, is seeking development interns for fall 2022.

Interns will have the opportunity to learn about both the development process and the international sales process, as well as gain valuable entertainment office and desk experience. Interns will also learn about the role of an assistant in the industry. Since our company is small, interns will get to know and collaborate with people at every level and across departments, and assistant in preparations for the American Film Market. Intern duties include:

-Reading scripts and writing coverage

-Sharing opinions on scripts in our Friday meetings with our staff and CEO

-Maintaining office grids, including contacts and talent

-Calling agencies to check talent availability

-Watching and evaluating films for potential acquisition

-When in office: covering reception and occasionally shadowing CEO’s assistant desk

-When in office: opening and closing the office, keeping the kitchen orderly, refilling the printer, collecting and delivering mail

-Working on projects with the Acquisitions intern and the Marketing intern

Expected duration is approximately end of September through December, flexible depending on academic schedule. Remote work is expected, but interns must be available for Zoom meetings on Friday mornings.
