Data Engineer I

The Data Engineer role will be part of Advisor360°’s Engineering organization as a member of our Data Pipeline team. You will be responsible for mapping, cleansing, and transforming data from outside data sources and integrating them into Advisor360°’s application. You are passionate about leveraging modern technology and building scalable and efficient data pipelines, processes, and capabilities.

Key responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with team members to migrate data from advisor offices into Advisor360°’s platform.
  • Create, maintain, and support software and data processes
  • Must have strong SQL & T SQL coding skills
  • Write code utilizing SQL to fulfill client data requests in a timely manner. 
  • Quickly diagnose and resolve incoming bugs
  • Use modern approaches and tools to automate systems and processes
  • Collaborate with team members on effective development practices, communicating with tact and professionalism
  • Produce well written, efficient, and maintainable code related to data processes and presentation

Requirements
  • Write efficient and maintainable code including SQL-stored procedures
  • Strong data analytics skills, including the ability to break down data models efficiently
  • Develop software solutions by analyzing information needs; conferring with users; and studying systems flow, data usage, and workstream processes
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems and processes
  • Document and maintain software functionality and data processes
  • Create, enhance, and maintain data processes, always seeking new ways to improve
  • Troubleshoot and remediate issues in data code, processes, or sources
  • Fulfill ad hoc data and reporting requests using internal tools
  • Effectively communicate and collaborate with both technical and non-technical teams
  • Provide high levels of customer service

Additional skills and knowledge
  • ETL/ELT experience, especially using SSIS, Power BI, and SSRS
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, Agile/Scrum environment
  • Experience with CRM systems a plus (e.g., Salesforce, Redtail, Smart Office, etc.)
  • An appetite and aptitude for taking responsibility for technical decisions
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-starter who is eager to learn
