Position:
The firm is seeking an Investment Banking Analyst to join our team at its main office in Pasadena, California. The Analyst will work with senior bankers in the marketing of its services and client development. The successful candidate would become an integral team member, performing due diligence, financial modeling, valuation analysis, and participating in meetings with clients. Projects will provide exposure to several specific industry sectors, including business services, industrial growth, applied technology, food & beverage, and consumer products/services. In addition, we work with a broad product suite consisting of M&A, strategic advice, and capital market activities across multiple geographies.
Specific duties and responsibilities would include:
® Preparation and involvement in client presentations, including comprehensive industry perspectives and capital structure/M&A presentations
® Preparation of valuation and capital structure financial models
® Aid in the drafting of debt, equity, and M&A memorandums
® Capital structure and M&A idea generation
® Composition of reports to document client interaction, synthesize company information, and track information internally (e.g., client profiles, deal pipelines)
Requirements:
® Must be an intelligent, driven, and hardworking individual who has demonstrated the ability to work both independently and as a member of a team
® Strong quantitative and analytic aptitudes
® Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
® Bachelors degree with strong academic credentials and preferably with courses in business, accounting, and finance
® Strong desire to pursue an investment banking career while based in the greater Los Angeles area
