The State of Connecticut, Department of Social Services (DSS), is recruiting for one (1) Staff Attorney 2 to work in our Legal Division of Administrative Hearings and Appeals. This is a full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday position that will be based out of our office in Hartford, located at 55 Farmington Avenue.
- Telework on a hybrid schedule is available based on the state telework guidelines and will be discussed further during the interview process
In this role, you would be entrusted to independently perform a full range of legal work. Along with other duties as needed, we would have you:
- Research, analyze, and interpret sophisticated and sometimes conflicting laws and regulations
- Craft new statutes and regulations
- Represent DSS in formal administrative and public proceedings
