Festival Production & Programming Internship

Boston Jewish Film is looking for Spring 2023 interns with a passion for the arts and who want to learn first-hand how film festivals work as well as make industry connections. Interns will help remotely and onsite for our 5th Annual Boston Israeli Film Festival (March 19-26, 2023).

As a Programming and Festival Production Intern, you will be an integral part of one of New England's largest film festivals! On the programming side you will work side-by-side with the Director of Special Programming to:

* Research films
* Pre-screen films and prepare screening notes
* Obtain information about and process incoming films
* Organize and maintain online film database
* Opportunity to spearhead independent projects
* Correspond with distributors and festival guests
* Edit trailers for our YouTube channel
* Earn credit for school

On the Festival Production side, you will assist in all event-planning aspects of getting ready for our 2023 Spring Festival. Collaborating with the Director of Production, Artistic Director, Director of Special Programming, and other festival staff, you will:

* Work on logistics for events and screenings
* Enter film information and photos in the ticketing software program.
* Assist managers at in-person screenings, fundraising events and with live virtual programs
* Prepare various reports and presentations with Microsoft Office software
* Earn credit for school

Candidates must exhibit strong skills in multitasking, attention to detail and be able to work in a team environment. The internship will be both remote and in-person, so candidates within the Greater Boston area are preferred.

Interns typically work two days (8-10 hours) per week in a fun, fast-paced environment, with weekend availability for the November festival.
