Health Surveillance Epidemiologist

Overview

The Health Department's Infectious Disease Section is recruiting an enteric disease epidemiologist. Duties include conducting ongoing surveillance to detect and track foodborne/enteric diseases, leading enteric disease outbreak investigations, performing data management, analysis, and reporting, serving as the primary enteric disease contact for internal and external stakeholders and community partners, providing technical assistance and training to public health nurses/field epidemiology staff conducting infectious disease investigations, and supporting the full range of Infectious Disease Section program functions.

Minimum Qualifications

Doctorate in epidemiology AND two (2) years or more of experience in a health related field.
OR
Master's degree in epidemiology AND three (3) years or more of experience in a health related field.
OR
Master's degree in public health or another health related field INCLUDING at least six courses in statistics or epidemiology AND three (3) years or more of experience in a health related field.
