Editorial Intern for Babe by HATCH
HATCH is looking for an individual passionate about learning the ins-and- out of our editorial platform, Babe.
MANAGER: Babe Team
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assisting editorial director in producing stories on an as-need basis
- Assisting digital / SEO team in adding SEO-driven links to existing stories
- Assisting digital / SEO team in miscellaneous editorial site optimization tasks
- Assisting editorial / digital team in reviewing and editing active links to ensure optimal user experience
- Researching additional “hatchpedia” entries, writing them in Babe voice and adding them into the backend.
- Researching high priority keywords in tandem with analytics team to serve into new content ideas
- Performing competitive analysis of like-minded brands and best-in-class content platforms to see what we can do better
- Assist Head of Social in post content on various social platforms (Facebook, Linkedin) as needed
- Assist in pulling key performance metrics as it relates to Babe traffic and supporting channels (social, email)
REQUIREMENTS:
- Major in English, journalism and/or new media studies preferred but not required
- Excellent written and communications skills
- Experience with wordpress and photo sizing platforms, like Canva preferred
- Highly organized and professional manner
- Forward-thinking and highly collaborative
- Ability to succeed in fast-paced environment
