Business DevOps or Marketing Intern (Korean speaking)

DESCRIPTION
We are a popular consumer products company building innovative products for the home! One of our biggest products is Clocky, the popular alarm clock that runs away beeping. Check us out at www.clocky.com. We are also launching a larger home design consumer brand!

We are looking to expand beyond the U.S. into the Korean market. Does the idea of growing with a company that creates highly innovative consumer products, and becoming a critical member of its team appeal to you? Our interns only work on projects that will be used in the real world.

You will gain valuable experience working with our senior team. We are looking for students that have an interest in entrepreneurship, business, and of course who are smart and hungry to learn!

DevOps (a portmanteau of “development” and “operations”) is the combination of practices and tools designed to increase an organization’s ability to deliver applications and services faster than traditional software development processes. This speed enables organizations to better serve their customers and compete more effectively in the market.

Responsibilities:
  • Work with our CEO and Marketing team to research and help set up our Chinese ecommerce
  • Assist with customer service enquiries in Korean Platforms
  • Work with our CEO and Marketing team to help the brand grow on Chinese social media 
  • Assist with documents/marketing content (Korean translations)
  • Monitor and evaluate industry trends and customer drivers, and have bi-weekly virtual meetings with the CEO/Marketing team to discuss strategy
  • Help research for new ways of expansion into the Korean market

Required skills and qualifications
  • Native/Proficient Korean speaker with optimal English communication skills (B2 minimum)
  • Some background in sales or marketing techniques
  • Some interest or background in data analysis 
  • Ability to plan and manage resources

Learning Objectives
  • Conduct analysis to help inform key business decisions and guide strategy
  • Assist with determining product market fit, prioritizing opportunities in the market
  • Receive mentoring from our Founder (an MIT, Shark Tank, and Y Combinator alum)
  • Sit in on virtual team meetings and contribute ideas to various operations
  • Gain experience in the fields of business, marketing and sales in a professional context
  • Develop professional communication skills and receive resume and cover letter support. We provide fantastic recommendation letters at your request.
