Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and innovative candidate for the role of Research Technician. Reporting to the Sr Scientist of Vector Engineering, this individual will provide support to various R&D teams to help streamline daily research operations. The ideal candidate will have experience with mammalian cell culture, media preparation, cell line maintenance and reagent/inventory management of lab essentials. The candidate will be expected to work in an innovative, fast-paced, cross-collaborative biotech environment and contribute to multi-disciplinary team activities to advance our platform.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Execute established protocols and procedures pertaining to mammalian cell culture, media preparation and cell line maintenance to support cross functional R&D experimentation.
  • Collaborate with the Lab Operations team to ensure reagents and lab inventory are appropriately stocked and ordered for R&D activities.
  • Help assist in cell banking efforts.
  • Support additional as-needed routine tasks to streamline R&D efforts across the organization.
 
Qualifications:

  • A.S. with at least 1-2 years of relevant experience or B.S. with at least 0.5-1 years of relevant experience in cell biology and/or molecular biology.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment highly preferred.
  • Prior experience with mammalian cell culture and media preparation required.
  • Exposure to cell line maintenance and cell banking preferred.
  • Reagent and inventory management of lab essentials highly preferred.
  • Strong collaboration and inter-personal skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize to meet important deadlines.
